“Carol Of Benjamin The Bearded One” - Sufjan Stevens
This song kills me every time. After a minute long “Carol of the Bells” inspired overture, the song settles into two minutes of nonstop beauty. I don’t know exactly what he’s singing about, but for whatever reason the word “snowbank” seems to be full of emotion and the whole things is very evocative of childhood memories of Christmas time.
It’s been a while since I got the opportunity to enjoy sufan. I can’t wait for the deep of winter to come and listen to this song again. :)
